My Surprise for the Boss Year 2

Kamis, 16 April 2009

I planned this surprise 5 months ago and my heart melted when I saw his reaction to what I did. Although I needed to save for personal expenses, I made sure that his birthday celebration will be extra special because he finally finished college. I'm a proud momma! He really pursued his studies despite lack of sleep and fatigue from 9-hour work shifts and I'm very pleased to say that he graduated with very very good grades. :)

So for this year's celebration, I availed of the Romantic Dinner Date Package from Seven Suites Hotel and Observatory in Antipolo which includes:
  • exclusive use of upper deck overlooking the metropolis
  • candlelit full course dinner
  • bottle of wine
  • bouquet of flowers
  • romantic background music
  • personal butler
  • shower of petals
  • stargazing with in house astronomer
I also got him a remote control F1 car which he really wanted to have ages ago but was too hesitant to buy it himself because he said that there were a lot of things that needs to be done first. In short - kuripot.  My plan was like this: I told him that we're gonna go to the hotel for a photo shoot and the other photogs invited us for dinner before starting.  So as comfy as always - clad in short and his favorite white shirt, we left home and I was nervous already as I try to repeat the lines I'm gonna use for the introduction of the video in my head. We arrived at the hotel 30 minutes earlier. I left him in the car and told him that I'm gonna check if my friends are upstairs already. I got giddy and excited when I saw the stairs leading to the 4th floor with petals and candles everywhere! I was so tensed that I forgot to take pictures. After instructing the butler how to use the video cam, we phoned the receptionist to call him. I was holding the cake when he saw me. He was all smiles and didn't know what to do! He just kept on fixing his hair (he's nervous when he does that) and I greeted him and asked him to go outside. He can't believe his eyes when he saw the gazebo, the flowers and candles. So we settled in and the waiter started serving the food and everything was great. I felt so fulfilled because my plan went on as I perfectly expected! Food was okay but the steak is too gummy for my taste. Anyway, the boss kept saying that he can't believe I surprised him again this year. He said that this is his first time to recieve flowers and such. He added that he felt like a prince. :) <3

After dinner, we just stayed there until the astronomer came and prepared his gear. He gave us a brief background of what he does, mounted the telescope and we started to learn about the big dipper, Sirius the planet Saturn and its moons, the brightest start at night and the moon. It was really amazing when I peeked in the telescope and saw Saturn! It was really Saturn with the ring and all! Hahaha! We felt like 12 year olds :)

We called it a night at around 10pm because I have a database class the next morning. But the boss asked me not to go to school since he wants to be beside me all day. Once we arrived home,  he played with his toy car and watching him and his smiles made me really feel like : "I DID IT!" :)

Here are some blurred pictures, my hands were too shaky that night. Haha!
