Yeoleobun, annyeonghaseyo! (Hello everyone!) That's one of the phrases I learned last week because of watching City Hunter. I was so hooked into it that I finished the whole series in 4 days (yes, all 20 episodes!) And now, I am currently in a post drama depression state because I miss the characters so much! So to divert my attention a little, I started watching Boys Before Flowers. Haha! Anyway, here is a quick post about our Kid of the Trip from our Pico de Loro climb.
Marivi, Raymond and Rachelle spend their weekends at the base camp of Pico de Loro to help their parents sell merchandise while their older brothers help the family by guiding climbers. They have coconuts and sodas and souvenirs like key chains, bag tags and shirts.
The three of them were very shy when I sat down for a chat when we arrived. I just asked them where they play to lighten up the mood. Marivi said that they have a lot of playmates back in town but they like spending their weekends at the base camp more.
Other climbers arrived while we were resting and I was a bit hesitant as to how to approach the kids and give them my gift. Reuel suggested to just hand it to their mom instead so a very awkward me handed the envelope to the mom and apologized that it was not enough for the 3 of them. She was thankful.
