There are two things I love and hate about weddings and formal occasions: 1) I hate dressing up. I'm not your usual kikay girl and I'm not comfortable wearing corporate attires but I'm really trying hard to girli-fy myself for a change at very rare times. 2) I love the love-filled atmosphere and the tears of joy you can see from the groom while his bride is walking down the aisle. I'm a sucker for this type of emotional phenomena. Others may see me as a hardcore woman, but deep down inside I'm a crybaby.
My good friend Red tied the knot last October 16 to his girlfriend of so many years - Dzopai. I admit I'm not that close to the couple since I only get to see Red during gigs. Red is the bassist of The Roxymorrons and I first saw the band play during one of the Eb's held by
Philmusic way back 2007. Our friendship, despite the fact that we only get together during gigs and special occasions like birthdays grew past the hi and hello phase.
It was a sunny and humid afternoon when we arrived in San Agustin church. I was excited to catch up and see everybody.

Finally the ceremony started with the tune of U2's With or Without You. The bride walked down the aisle with all her beautiful, radiant and charming glory.

The ceremony started after lunch and I was too sleepy since we went there straight from a 9-hour graveyard shift. So please forgive us if we have pictures like this:
Our spirits rejoiced when we heard the priest pronounce them husband and wife.

The reception followed at Bay View Hotel along Roxas Blvd. There were quite a lot of guests and while waiting for the elevator we cam-whored.

The dancing waiters of the hotel gave the crowd the much needed ice breaker. The couple's aunt rendered a song number which cheered the audience more. Dinner followed while Sis Abie's AVP (yes, she directed it and yes, I cried haha!) played. It made the groom tear up which I find very amusing. Boys rarely cry! Here are more pictures at the reception:

We went to Iceberg's Harbour Square after dinner to have desserts. Our last stop was Paul's house where we had beer, pizza, junk food and more chitchats. I will just leave you with a picture of how we ended our night.
