My Surprise for the Boss Year 3

The Boss' (a.k.a. the boyfriend) birthday is fast approaching again and I just realized that I haven't blogged about my surprise for him last year. Thanks to my dear friends who are so eager to help me strategize and execute my plan. Since we became a couple, I've been able to surprise him every year. I wasn't able to document the first one though. It was just a simple dinner with friends he hasn't seen in years and he thought that it's just gonna be the two of us. So he was dumbfounded to see everyone there with his cake. My second surprise is here. Just please bear with the video I made because I really don't know how to.

So my surprise for him last April 2010 was a McDonald's Kiddie Party. I remember him telling me that he didn't had a party like that before while he was growing up. The plan was, we're gonna attend the party of my friend's 6 year old son. I asked Pepay to write our names in one of the invitations so the Boss believed it wholeheartedly. I started preparing this event a month before - calling and secretly inviting our friends, double checking their assignments and making sure they don't text me the day itself because the Boss might see their messages. So I assigned our very good friend Mark, to take care of the guest list and he was the one I was calling hours before the surprise. I availed the Ben10 Kiddie Package with Cheeseburger Deluxe Meal with sundaes and cake for dessert. Party hats and loot bags too. Of course the games are already included.

We arrived in Eastwood City at 5pm and just walked around because I told him that I didn't knew anyone at the venue and added that we'll just go when the celebrant arrives. So that gave me ample time to check if everybody's there already through Mark (I've been talking to him while I was in the ladies room). The Boss was really insisting that we buy a gift for the birthday boy but I already told him that I made an AVP and that would be enough. I finally got the go signal that everything was set so here's what happened:

The games were so fun! Everybody felt like kids again. We were all laughing and cheering our teams on. Honestly, I myself didn't had the chance to celebrate like this when I was a kid because the times then were tough. So it's a double treat for us. :)

So this year, I haven't planned anything. So I guess no surprises for now. Actually I've been running out of ideas already haha! But who knows? :)
