Calaguas Island, Bicol - Day 3

Disclaimer: picture heavy post (again)

I woke up with a feeling of regret on that sunny day because we are finally leaving the island of Calaguas. So after packing and waterproofing our bags, we had breakfast and started taking pictures and took advantage of that very fine morning.

Danggit, hard - boiled eggs and hotdogs
By the way, we had free coffee and hot water with all our breakfast meals. Kuya Melvic also brought 3 bottles of booze for us! Yes, it's free! Anyway, more on with the pictures.

The waters were calmer during our trip back to Daet. We arrived roughly before lunch time and asked the van driver to bring us to the city center to buy souvenirs then proceeded to Bagasbas Beach for our lunch, rest and shower and surf. This is also included in the package so we didn't shelled any money here (except for the Tanduay Ice I ordered and the surfing lessons).

After lunch, the others took a nap. The room we had was big enough for 14 persons. With two restrooms with showers and it was air conditioned too. So imagine, how fast they conked out with those comfortable beds after sleeping in the sand for 2 nights. At around 3 in the afternoon their surf instructors arrived and they started with the lessons. It was P200 for the lesson and P200 for the surfing board rental. So prepare P400 per head. It was worth it though because it was a little after an hour after they finished. Bagasbas beach has very fine, clean black sand which makes it perfect for surfing because there are no stray rocks anywhere.

That concludes our Calaguas experience! Consider Calaguas as one of the islands on your must-see-islands bucket list and let me know if you enjoyed it as much as we did. :)

Hasta Luego!
