I would like to thank Macy for reminding me that I still have this unpublished post in my drafts since January! When we were in Boracay last December, I met this lovely couple in Ariel's Point and invited them to dinner after. Laurent mentioned that they write for a newspaper called InDaegu in South Korea. It is founded by Canadian Craig White who lived there since 2002. Since 2005, 1,800 foreigners have contributed over 9000 articles about Daegu and Korea. So I told him that I have a blog about personal travels and dining adventures. He offered me to write an article about Boracay to be featured in their Travel section. I was actually surprised because I haven't experienced writing for a magazine or any relevant media and get it published. So I took the task and went back to Manila with high hopes.
After a week, I received a Facebook message from Laurent about the pointers and requirements of the article. I need to write a travel piece with not more than 600 words. The first draft I made has over 900 words and trimming it down needed a lot of help from him. So after submission, he said that we just need to wait and see if it will make it. Waiting for it seemed endless until I got the email a few weeks later.

sorry for the blurry image |
I know I may be a bit over acting but this is such a big deal! It is my very first published article! Yeheyyyy! If you have time, you can read the article in InDaegu's website (Jan 2012). Macy is right, seeing your name on a printed thing is something you get excited about over and over again! :)
Moving on (haha!), I just finished my Level 6 at Instituto Cervantes de Manila and met new friends! We also passed our assessment exam and we are all moving forward to Level 7 this coming Thursday, March 22. 6 down and 7 more to go!

dinner at Amaru's house on the last day of class |
The year actually started right for me because our little business I Love Omocha is doing nice as well. We are already on our 4th month and I am happy to be friends with my customers. So if you know someone who wants Gunpla Kits, you can check our items on the link above.
So that's what's been keeping me busy for the past months besides preparing for a wedding (that deserves a separate entry) and training for my very first major climb this holy week. Up next, our Bohol vacation and the restaurants that made us splurge a little!
Hasta luego!
