It was a rainy night en route to Kodomo Bar in Mandaluyong but it didn't kept us from going because we wanted to spend our Saturday night like normal people and take our much needed dose of music. I badly wanted to see Flickerfusion play too and I didn't told Sis Yvette that we were going so she was really surprised to see us. :)
Sorry if don't remember the names of the bands that much because I was all around the place talking to Paul, Pao, Angel and the very perky MC and was taking some pictures too. One of the bands that registered to me though was the Oemons, composed of 6 guys who plays punk and ska with a little bit of rock and lot of humor. It was really fun watching them do their thing because it was a refresher from the usual music you get to hear at regular gigs. And I'm proud to say that their guitarist was a Philmusician! :) (yes, shameless plug!).

Good thing Janet likes our beer and she enjoyed the night listening and laughing over some minor untoward incidents. Anyway, the bar is big but it was a little hot inside. Lightning was just okay and when we asked if they can turn on the other spotlight, they said that it was broken or something. Taking pictures in places where light is scarce is hard. The waiters were attentive despite the loud music and their beer was super cold that it tasted sweeter. I ordered their cheese sticks and they were served hot but has this melts-in-your-mouth feeling after every bite.
Finally, Sis Yvette arrived and it was their time to shine. And they really did. They opened their set with Damsel in Distress which is my favorite song in the EP they launched last year. Of course, Lihim and Kadena followed. They ended the set with Akala ko Ikaw. I feel like a mom whenever I see and hear these guys play. I just can't be any prouder. :)
After a few more bottles of beer, we decided to call it a night. Spot who's drunk in the photo. :))
