Janet's Arrival

Long queues. Hands waving in the air. Banners. Smiles. Hugs. Tears. Those are the words that can best describe the arrival area of Ninoy Aquino International Airport when Francis and I arrived. (Thanks for coming with me Bro! You are such a life saver!) After confirming that Cathay Pacific Flight 905 has arrived, I can't help but smile knowing that I will be seeing Janet soon. Soon enough that after 30 minutes, Francis saw her first and called me. The feeling was surreal. For the next minute we were both speechless. Exchanging e-mails for a long time didn't really sufficed the happy feeling to finally see each other. Okay, so much for the drama.

We went to Resorts World after to grab something to eat. There were lots of people even at that wee hour of the morning. We had sandwiches at the very cozy UCC Cafe. I had the Chicken Teriyaki Pizza Toast which was bigger than I anticipated. A bite to the warm bread and oozing cheese reminded me of digging into one of Sbarro's deep dish pizza. The chicken slices were tender and tasted well with the teriyaki sauce. Janet had the Chicken Teriyaki and Eggplant sandwich and Francis had the Cliffhanger. Wasn't able to take a bite of their sandwiches because I'm shy like that. Hehe!

The servings were big enough for sharing. The service was quick and efficient except for the fact that their water glasses are small. I mean, I would appreciate taller glasses so you don't have to call the waiters every now and then for refills and I must say that the water in a small glass like that won't be enough if you accidentally choke yourself from devouring their delicious food.
