We walked in the restaurant but found no reception area there and the lady behind the bar told us that the reception area is across the road.
It turns out that this building was the extension of the garden-themed cottages we initially went to. We booked the Room Aircon (that's how they call it) for P1,500 per night (w/o breakfast) for 3 nights. The room was just okay, nothing fancy and has just the things that you need.
The location our room is a 4-5 minute walk to the beach which is the reason why we booked it. We wanted quiet nights during our stay, away from the night life but little did we know that we will be sleeping beside the highway. And, we weren't informed about it. So to summarize, read below:
Pros:
- Wifi is fast, signal is strong and free.
- Air conditioning is just right.
- Cable TV.
- Huge cabinet with enough hangers to keep your clothes organized.
- The beds were just okay, but will appreciate more if we were given a queen bed instead of 2 single ones.
- Enough power outlets with universal sockets so you don't need your normal adapters.
- Hot and cold shower.
- Water pressure is strong.
- Fresh towels, clean rooms and made up beds everyday (except for our last day).
- Check-in was fast, we just showed our voucher, ID's and filled a form.
Cons:
- No safety box inside the room. For your valuables, you can deposit them in the reception area but they just keep it inside a cabinet w/o a lock and key. What baffled me the most is, you just put your name on a piece of paper and put it inside with your things so you know they are yours. No ID's nothing. I can actually easily pretend I am someone else and get your things. Most of the time we were there, we brought a big bag and lugged our valuables with us whenever we will go out of our room. It is so frustrating and stressful at the same thing having to worry about your valuables and at the same time trying to have fun. I'm sure you get my point.
- No area to hang your wet clothes to dry. We just used hangers for our clothes and let them dry inside the restroom.
- The trash can inside the rest room is too small for my life. It is like a trash can for a dentist chair where you throw used cotton balls.
- The receptionists need to brush up on their customer service skills. Maybe be a little warm or attentive? Thank you very much.
