A luxurious staycation at The Bellevue Manila

Sabtu, 02 Juni 2012

Located in the heart of a thriving business and commercial enclave in the south of Metro Manila, particularly Alabang, Muntinlupa City, The Bellevue Manila is 20 minutes away from international and domestic airports via the expressway and 20 minutes away from the Makati Central Business District via Skyway. It offers convenient access to key business areas, shopping malls, restaurant and bars, golf and country clubs, theme parks, dive spots, hot springs and beach resorts.

The hotel's enormous lobby boasts of modernly - designed ceiling and flooring matched with contemporary lighting. Being the new building, the Tower Wing's check-in system is divided into 3 separate counters to efficiently cater to guests.

The hotel has a total of 456 rooms spread out in 10 categories between the main and tower wings. Some rooms come with a full pantry or  kitchenette while their suites has full kitchens. The Premiere Suites are 64sqm in size while the Deluxe room has an area of 33sqm. We were immediately given refreshments when we sat down to wait for our turn and after a few minutes, we were given our key cards and a staff dressed elegantly like a stewardess accompanied us to our room. We stayed at the Corner Grand Deluxe room (P7,540) at the 8th floor of the Tower Wing.

Our king - sized bed had just the right tenderness for an even sleep. The duvet and pillows are so soft and clean smelling too. I was actually giddy upon thinking that I'm gonna have a good night's sleep that day. Like the lobby, the room was modern too. It is equipped with a flat screen TV, iPod dock, safety deposit box, LED - lighted drawers and WiFi and LAN internet access fast enough for me to scout this luxury travel agency and stream American Idol performances in minutes.

Our bathroom has concomitant fixtures like a rain shower head, wall - mounted flush system for the toilet and there is even a phone you can use to make calls while heeding the call of nature. Beside the bathtub, you can pull up the blinds for a full view of the room - perfect for couples. *wink*

The hotel has one pool in each building. The lap pool in the Tower Wing is 4 feet deep while the one in the Main Wing is 3½ feet deep. Both pools has bars where you can order refreshments and heavy to light snacks for al fresco dining. For safety precautions, there are rubber mats surrounding the pool and some lead to the lounging areas for slip - free walking.

Beside the Main Wing pool is the hotel's fully equipped gym and a salon for the health and look conscious.

A recent addition to the hotel is the Vue Bar located at the 22nd floor of the Tower Wing. It can seat 250 guests and serves different types of food from its international cuisine menu. Too bad my mom and I were both tired during our stay there so we weren't able to see the view from the top.

If you are planning your wedding, The Bellevue Manila has function rooms to accommodate your guests. Their Grand Ballroom which has an eight - meter ceiling can house up to 800 guests while the Laguna Room  is divisible into two partitions for smaller gatherings and special functions.

Our overnight stay at the hotel was relaxing, fun and stress - free. Every call to the front desk has been addressed timely and accurately. Stay tuned for our Mandarine Spa experience and the delectable food in Cafe d' Asie and Phoenix Court.

Overall experience: 5 out of 5 skulls
