Christmas is the season for parties and reunions. One of the first I had this year is with my ex-teammates whom I've been together with for 2 years when we were still working as Product Support Specialists catering to Asia Pacific countries and helping them with their small and home office networks. I tell you that this is the most stressing part of my 6-year career. The language barrier is a lot harder compared to clients in North America. I won't tell much anymore because I might get sued. Haha! So because of everyday stress among other things, the team learned to cope up with it by going out of town, having dinner and going to the spa. We grew very close not only as colleagues but as friends. Sadly, the support had to be transferred to another branch so all of us needed to go and find new jobs for the sake of our own personal growth. I am the only one left in the same company as I was lucky to have a new role in a different department.
Last Sunday, we finally had the chance to bond over good food and coffee. KC, which is one of my closest gay friends tagged along. While waiting for the others to arrive, we took a walk around Eastwood City and bought my gift for the boss.

Unfortunately, our other teammates won't be able to make it so we just went ahead and had dinner at Trattoria Italia in the very crowded Eastwood Mall. Food was great but the names of the dishes were a little bit hard to pronounce and easy to forget. The flavors of the Seafood Pasta danced well together. It was al dente and came with mussels, one piece of shrimp and clams in a creamy white sauce. I honestly forgot how the pizza tasted so not there's not so much to say about it. Their salad composed of lettuce leaves, tomatoes, hard boiled eggs, anchovies and olives dressed in balsamic vinaigrette was fresh and crispy, The tanginess of the dressing complemented well with the anchovies which wasn't that salty at all. KC had risotto with veggies and shrimps and also ordered their version of Panna Cotta which capped the meal. It was creamy, milky and it has this melt-in-your-mouth feeling when you take a bite. Best dessert I had so far. Their servings are good enough for sharing so we had a very nice dinner without spending too much.

We proceeded to Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf after to bond a little more. Talked about TV series, current jobs, out of towns and a lot more. The boss managed to squeeze a little of his time before going to work.

I'm hoping that on our next get together, Pia, Pampy, Trixie, Nica, MeiMei and Ofel can make time for us. Right girls?
