We arrived at the ferry terminal around quarter to 6 in the morning. We decided to take the earliest trip so we can save ourselves from the big waves that appears in the afternoon. We bought bread and fruits to eat for our 4-hour trip to Cebu City. Leaving early has its perks. We have the whole upper deck of the boat to ourselves, was able to talk to the boat's captain and its crew members and we can cam whore all we want. See below:

After an hour we were already at Hagnaya Pier. The bus terminal is just within the compound and we were glad that the bus wasn't that full either. The ride was pretty bumpy at first and as we went along, the bus was filled with commuters.

Janet and her buddies |
We arrived at Cebu City at 11 in the morning and took a cab that took us to
Apple Tree Suites which was our home for the remaining days of our trip. After taking a shower, we headed out to grab some lunch but didn't found any decent restaurant nearby. So we ended up having lunch at Pizza Hut and coffee after at Bo's Coffee Club at Robinson's Place. We weren't able to go to any tourist spots in the city as planned and learned that only a few places were near each other but that was okay. Before dinner, we went to Ayala Center to buy some stuff. Janet bought her very first pair of Havaianas and it was really cute watching her trying every color and getting confused on which one to get. We left Janet at the mall and went to see Basilica de Santo Niño, Magellan's Cross and Colon Street.

along Colon Street
Colon street is the oldest street in the Philippines. It was built by the Spaniards and it is the heart of trade and commerce in Cebu. At night, the colorful lights of restaurants, movie theaters, department stores and other establishments adorn the area. I was expecting cobble stone steps like Calle Crisologo in Vigan but there were none. A lot of side walk vendors can be found at both sides of the street as well as all kinds of street food (now, how can redundant can I get?).
Moving on, we went back to Ayala Center to have dinner at
Casa Verde to try their famous ribs. While waiting for our table (the restaurant has a long waiting list) we walked around and checked out some shops and to take pictures of The Terraces. All of the restaurants are located there which gives you the option to dine al fresco. The bars and clubs are on the top most floors where you can enjoy a scenic view while drinking your booze.

According to the locals, before, this pleace was a lagoon with green waters. Now it is also called as the 8th Wonder of Cebu and a must - see for locals and tourists alike. I love the landscape of the place. The manicured grass and how spacious it is. It would be a perfect place to hang out on breezy nights too.
So have you been to the 8th Wonder of Cebu? Tell me your story. :)
PS: This was us after dinner.
