Cagbalete Island, Quezon - Day 1

Rabu, 25 Mei 2011

Warning: This post contains 40+ pictures. Feast your eyes.

It was a wet and dewy morning when we left the bus terminal en route to Lucena City aboard the Jac Liner bus. Good thing it offers free WiFi to keep me entertained because all of my friends were asleep during the entire 3-hour trip. After grabbing a quick bite, we boarded the bus to Mauban. It was an hour trip to reach the port where we took the 60-minute boat trip to the island and another 20 - minute walk to our resort. Tough eh? But a lot of things made the trip bearable. See for yourself.

hot sunny day
welcome to Pensacola!

We were all famished, thirsty and tired when we arrived. So what else is there to do but eat!!!

yes, 2 crispy patas baby!
So what do you do in a place where there is no electricity the whole day? You just smile, camwhore, walk and appreciate everything you don't get to see on a daily basis.

low tide at its best

play!
lounge...

eat again (afternoon snack)
pose again
walk..
eat dinner
and finally, drink!
So yeah, that's what you can basically do in this island. If you are looking for a place to have some quality R&R, finish that long overdue book or simply want to be alone, then come to Cagbalete where you'll master the art of doing nothing. Oh and get bloated too!

More pictures to come from our day 2 and 3. Hasta luego!
