Cagbalete Island, Quezon - Day 2

Kamis, 26 Mei 2011

For some reason, I woke up early the next day. I wonder why that happens all the time when I am on a holiday. I always think of sleeping till noon but I guess I woke up because of the bad cold I got. Anyway, breakfast was ready and we all had a hearty laugh while talking about how our night went and how the Boss and I froze during the night because we realized that we didn't have blankets like everybody else did.

smoked fish, pork steak, fried rice, eggs and bananas
After breakfast, we all prepped to walk to the other side of the island where the waters were clearer because of less sea grass and swim all day. But the day won't start accordingly without pictures. So here goes:

KC again (haha!)

We decided to go back once the sun started burning our skin. As usual, we did more photo shoots. We were blessed enough to have friends with model - like profiles.

see what i mean? <3
Yes, KC included
Once we arrived they served our mid-morning snack:

sweet potato and pansit
Then we bummed around again while waiting for our lunch. This time, we just lounged while eating watermelon seeds. Reuel was the winner of the salty lips challenge.

We also bid adieu to Carol and Jude, also guests of the resort who we had a little chat with the day we arrived
We just passed by the time looking at the sun, talking about random topics and guess what? YES! It's time for lunch already!

grilled fish, grilled liempo, langka with coconut and ripe mangoes
I'm telling you, prepare to pack a few pounds after your trip here. Or better yet, work that body out by running or swimming to make sure you are hungry again by the time they serve the food. We all showered and took a nap and when we woke up, we ate again.

Pansit Habhab and palitaw
While the others went for a walk we had a massage. It's P250 per person. P50 goes to the resort and P200 for the masseuse. So if you are feeling extra generous, give them a tip. The massage was great and it helped relieve the back pain I had from the night before. They are accredited by the local tourism agency so they are totally legit.

Next, dinner. Food, again.

beef broccoli, calamares, chicken curry and gelatin
We had some drinks after dinner and called it a night. :)

Leo, KC, me, Jepay, Reuel, Jhay :)

Hasta luego!
